Sketch ER diagrams with crow’s foot arrowheads
Early database design is a conversation: which entities exist, and how do they relate? Wobbleboard gives you crow’s-foot arrowheads on any arrow so you can sketch the model with your team before touching a schema.
Cardinality at the ends of an arrow
Select any arrow and pick its start and end arrowheads. Alongside the usual arrow, triangle, circle and diamond styles you will find cardinality one, cardinality many and one-or-many crow’s-foot markers.
A simple workflow
- Draw one rectangle per entity and write the table name in the first line, then its fields below.
- Connect entities with arrows. They bind to the shapes, so relationships stay attached when you rearrange.
- Set the arrowhead at each end to show one-to-many, many-to-many or optional relations.
- Add labels such as “places” or “belongs to” on the arrows.
Know the limits
Wobbleboard is a sketching tool, not a schema generator: it won’t create SQL or validate relationships. That’s intentional — use it to agree on a model, then move to your database tooling. For general process drawings, see the flowchart maker.
Frequently asked questions
Does it support crow’s foot notation?
Yes. The arrowhead picker includes cardinality-one, cardinality-many and one-or-many markers.
Can it generate SQL from my diagram?
No. It’s a drawing tool for communicating a design, not a database modelling suite.
Can I reuse an entity box?
Yes. Add a styled entity to your library and insert copies as needed.
